writing scripts & the diy way

If you saw a girl carrying a giant foamcore board near Kennedy and Wooten Way. It was me. I had to go through a small storm to get this foamcore from Curry’s. It was alright though, I was with friends. However people give you weird looks when you bring a large white board onto public transit. I realize that I am probably the least crafty person on the Earth. Here’s a picture of the board before I slice it in half.

I’m still in the process of writing my script it seems to be more dialogue driven than emotionally driven even though I wanted it to be the other way around. I realized that writing a script is a difficult task and you have to have a lot of patience and constant creativity pouring out of your ears to pull through it. Personally I hate scripts and storyboards. I don’t mind shot lists but I hate being so organized in that way. Maybe I’m lazy. But I just don’t work in that way. I think things are better when they are honest/candid/improvised.

Oh well, hopefully I will finish *at least* the rough draft by tomorrow (not possible) and have the final draft done by the end of the week. I also need to keep in mind that the biggest mistake most filmmakers make on their first movie is that they try to finish the film as fast as possible. I want to finish this by the end of summer but, I am sure I will work further than that perhaps. rabble rabble.
